Daily Debate: What Do You Want the Champions Amiibo to Unlock in Breath of the Wild?

Perhaps the biggest Zelda announcement from last month’s E3 2017 Nintendo Spotlight was the unveiling of four new Breath of the Wild amiibo. Later this year, fans will be able to adorn their shelves with figurines of the game’s four Champions: Urbosa, Revali, Mipha and Daruk. Naturally, each of these will perform some function during Link’s latest quest.

That begs the question, though — what will these amiibo do? If Breath of the Wild’s amiibo functionality thus far is any indication, then the four champions will likely unlock new pieces of equipment. That said, what would you specifically like to see from each amiibo?

Personally, I would love to see Nintendo give these guys the Wolf Link treatment. Let me temporarily summon the spirits of the Champions to fight alongside me in combat! Of course, they’d have to use attacks separate from their individual “gifts” in the main game. It’s a long shot, but boy, would that be something!
