Nintendo’s next Direct event is set to take place September 14th at 7 AM PST / 10 AM EST, with a focus on “Switch games releasing this winter.”

The company surely has plenty of room left to fill out the remainder of its 2023 first-party release schedule, which, as of the time of writing, only lists WarioWare: Move It! and the Super Mario RPG remake for winter release (following the fall releases Pikmin 1+2, Detective Pikachu Returns, and Super Mario Bros. Wonder). So, with so much of Nintendo’s winter release schedule left to the imagination, what announcements are you hoping to see tomorrow morning?

Tears of the Kingdom director Hidemaro Fujibayashi seemed to have dashed our hopes for any new updates to the latest Zelda game in his recent interview with Famitsu, and we remain skeptical that some other major Zelda title would be coming out this year. We do, however, know that Tears of the Kingdom Zelda and Ganondorf will receive amiibo this holiday season. Maybe those figures will do more than just unlock new Paraglider fabrics; tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct would be the perfect venue at which to tell us.

Metroid Prime 4 remains the great white whale of upcoming Nintendo titles. While I personally don’t think that that highly anticipated sequel will make an appearance tomorrow, I do think the announcement of a Metroid Prime 2: Echoes re-release would make for a nice consolation prize.

What about you? What are you hoping to see during tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct? Let us know in the comments below!
