Despite what you may think of the game as a whole, you can probably agree that Skyward Sword did have some good moments. However, there were a few events in the game that you either loved or hated. After giving the player a false sense of calm, they were more than likely to induce anxiety once things began to go crazy. I’m talking, of course, about the Silent Realm trials. There were four in the game with one for each region, including Skyloft, and each was more challenging than the last. They started simply enough, with the task of collecting fifteen Tears of the Goddesses, However, if you were to run out of time, step in the Waking Water, or be spotted by a Poe-like Watcher, the Guardians of that Realm would instantly awaken and began hunting you down and chasing you as the most anxiety-inducing music played.
If you’re here, then you probably already knew all this from experiencing these challenges yourself. And because you’ve experienced them, I want to know what you thought of them. Did you find them fun and enjoyable challenges? Or were they among the worst parts of Skyward Sword? Leave your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
