Daily Debate: Was Fi Really That Annoying, Or Do Fans Blow It Out Of Proportion?

The Legend of Zelda series has had many companion characters over the years, and some are without question more liked than others. Along with Navi, there is one other companion that is constantly criticized: Fi from Skyward Sword. Being well known for analyzing the situation and telling very specific odds for certain things happening, as well as for breaking the fourth wall to say “your Wii remote battery is low”, many people find her analytic character to be annoying. However, others thoroughly enjoyed her character, finding her more humorous and charming than annoying. They appreciated her character’s growth from a calculating android at the beginning to a caring friend by the end of the story.
