One of my very favorite quests in Breath of the Wild was titled “From the Ground Up”. It’s an extensive quest line that starts soon after you finish building and furnishing Link’s house in the “Hylian Homeowner” quest. One of the construction workers, Hudson, leaves to go construct the new settlement of Tarrey Town, and the side quest can be accessed after this point. It has multiple objectives, like finding a select number of wood bundles, and encountering different people whose name ends in “-son.” So, should we have more quests like this in Breath of the Wild 2? I think we should!

Breath of the Wild was full of a variety of side quests, but I personally love a quest that sends me off repetitively and having to come back to see the fruits of my labor. “From the Ground Up” leaves you with more than a fist full of rupees, and more than a weapon. It leaves you with a new town to visit and it’s an easy place to purchase every arrow type that the game offers. It’s a place to trade in spirit orbs and there is even a rare wares salesman that comes along later in the game. This is a quest worth completing early on, but it does require quite a bit of travel. So don’t expect to complete it as soon as you get there. Having more quests like this makes the reward more worthwhile so I hope that we see more in Breath of the Wild 2. It would be really interesting to see a quest that would involve rebuilding shops in Castle Town as well.

What do you think? Should we see more quests like “From the Ground Up” in Breath of the Wild 2? Sound off in the comments below!
