Daily Debate: Should the Yiga Clan Return in the Next Zelda Game?

As I have recently played through another round of Tears of the Kingdom, I once again found so much enjoyment in infiltrating the Yiga Clan hideout, trolling the scouts, and defeating and confronting Master Kohga many times throughout the adventure. The Yiga have been such a fascinating addition to Zelda lore — Sheikah defectors who despise the Hyrulian Royal Family. I love how they are equally as quirky and hilarious as they are intimidating and bloodthirsty. They have been one of my favorite parts of the Era of the Wild.
With that being said, I would love to see this clan of ninja wannabes make a reappearance in future games in the series. With the Sheikah having been a part of Hyrule’s rich history since the beginning, it only makes sense that some of them chose to break off due to differing beliefs and personal vendettas against the people they were meant to serve. I think it would be easy to bring the Yiga back again in the future, perhaps requiring stealth quests again, or needing to infiltrate their headquarters too. I sure hope so, because they are hilarious and make a formidable foe for the hero of Hyrule!
What do you guys think? Do you want the Yiga clan to return in future titles?

Chakell (pronounced shuh-kell) is an associate editor for Zelda Dungeon! She has loved The Legend of Zelda series since she was a little girl because of its equal mix of princesses, besting bad guys, and heartfelt stories. Chakell lives in the overall tame state of Utah, but holds onto her childhood hopes to find an adventure in her backyard one day. She has a degree in English and is a full-time editor for a magazine. You can usually find her gaming (obviously), laughing with her husband, taking a long time to tell stories because she keeps getting distracted; getting sucked into books and podcasts; or snuggling her cute Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
