We’re all highly anticipating the new DLC to be released sometime soon for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and many of us only have a rough idea on what that DLC will include. As Nintendo showed for the trailer from E3 2017, we know that Link’s story will continue after Calamity Ganon has been sealed away. We were given a hint that Link and Zelda will be visiting the neighboring territories to assess the damage, as well as checking on the relatives of the previous Champions.

I believe that many of us are wondering what this will entail for us, and how it will effect the storyline. How will these quests look? Will they come off as side quests, or will they follow the flow of the main storyline? Which also begs the question, will we be traversing the same map, or will they be increasing the size?

I don’t know about you guys, but I was thoroughly impressed with the size of the map for Breath of the Wild, and it was something I had been yearning for since as long as I can remember. I enjoyed the larger map and the open world aspect of it that the previous Legend of Zelda games lacked (The Wind Waker would be the closest to open world though, I suppose).

I do have the worry though that traversing that same map may get rather tedious, and I think many of us will get bored and just take the lazy way of teleporting to the closest shrine or tower that is closest to the area we need to get to.

My personal opinion is that they should slowly include some more territories for players to explore. Perhaps add in something over the mountains, or getting to travel across the ocean, much as The Wind Waker did.

Either way, I am greatly anticipating the DLC release, larger map included or not! What do you guys think? Should new territory be included, or should it be left as is? Let us know in the comments below!
