With Skyward Sword HD having just released on Switch, many fans are curious to see how well the game handles with the new control schemes. While fans of the original release are likely to pick this version of the game up without waiting for reviews, those who are still unsure or perhaps weren’t fans of the original will likely wait longer before deciding whether or not to purchase the game.

BeforeĀ Age of Calamity released, many people were unsure about whether to buy it. Nintendo, understanding that this was different from any other Zelda title, released a short demo featuring the opening hours of the game. This was an effort to convince those who were unsure about how the game would play to try it out for themselves and hopefully convince them to buy it.

In the past, Nintendo has had demos for Zelda games available at in-person gaming events like E3, but has rarely released demos for the mainline Zelda games to the public. Imagine if they had released a demo for Skyward Sword HD though so that everyone who was unsure about the controls could get a chance to try them out for themselves. I think that would definitely have convinced people who weren’t a fan of the original due to the controls instead of everyone needing to buy the game and find out that way.

Personally, I think Nintendo should release more demos for Zelda games in general. They consistently do so when trying out something new like with Age of Calamity or Cadence of Hyrule, but we rarely see them otherwise and I would love to see that change.

What do you think though? Should Nintendo release more Zelda demos? Let us know in the comments below!
