As opposed to traditional longer (and somewhat linear) dungeons from previous Zelda titles, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild implements the much shorter shrines and Divine Beasts. While previous dungeons had puzzle after puzzle to solve in a certain order, the shrines generally had one small puzzle you need to solve and the Divine beasts had multiple small puzzles that you could solve at any time in any order. This also came with the added bonus that the dungeons weren’t themed around a specific item to use. Rather they were focused more on a player’s puzzle solving skills and creativity, which would often lead to small “Ah-hah!” moments.

While there arguments for either side, this brings me to my question for you all today: Should Divine Beast-like dungeons return in future Zelda titles? Should they still focus on a players puzzle solving skills and ingenuity or should they revolve around a dungeon item like in previous Zelda titles? Let us know in the comments below!
