I will admit that I have not played every game in the Zelda series. Sadly, I don’t have access to a few titles, and there are others that I would rather have a physical copy of, as opposed to digital. Regardless, there are a decent handful of games that I have not played, and there are others that I have not finished altogether.

I currently have three Zelda games that I am in the middle of, or have started. I’m currently in the middle of Majora’s Mask. One of the reasons I have found this game hard to finish is because I am stuck, and I’m not a super fan of the camera angles playing on the 3DS. I do have access to a Nintendo 64 version of the game, but I love being able to play handheld. The Pirate’s Fortress in Majora’s Mask has been a thorn in my side for months, and every time I think I’ve gotten somewhere, I fail miserably! So I have unfortunately been picking up the game every once in a while in the hopes of finishing it. I love the game though, there’s no doubt about that. I’m just frustrated enough to keep putting it down for extended periods of time.

The other game I find myself in the middle of is A Link to the Past. I don’t have a great reason for this other than I was playing through a section per night until I just took a break from it for a while. I am greatly enjoying this game though, and I have started to understand why so many people love it so much. If I remember correctly I have made it to the Dark World and am adventuring around it. Admittedly though, this is one of the harder Zelda games I’ve played. It’s very different, but different is good.

Finally we come to the game I started and just put down: Skyward Sword. I know I need to finish this one. I hated the motion controls though; they were very annoying and I thought it made the game hard to play. I did the first dungeon and just set it down with not much hope to return. The story (because I spoiled it for myself) is great! But I hated the gameplay enough to decide to pass on it. I do hope to return to it someday, but I’m currently I’m unable to. We don’t have a Wii remote or nunchuck anymore, but I am holding out hope that they port Skyward Sword for the Switch so I don’t have to deal with the messy motion controls anymore.

How about you? Are their any Zelda games that you’d like to play but can’t? Or are there any that you just couldn’t finish? Sound off in the comments below!
