Daily Debate: Is A Link to the Past Your Favorite Game Included on the SNES Classic?

September 29th is slowly creeping upon us. In addition to the orange leaves and pumpkin spice lattes, this fall season will give us the Super Nintendo Entertainment System Classic Edition, the sequel if you will for the much maligned NES Classic Edition. Putting cynicism away for a moment about our chances to actually get one, you cant deny that the SNES Classic is filled with a who’s who of incredible games (well, maybe not Kirby, but nobodies perfect).

While there are industry titans such as Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, and Super Metroid, there are lessor known gems such as Earthbound, Secret of Mana, and Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts as well. With so many great games included, it’ll be hard to pick a game to play first.

One thought I had was ‘what is your favorite game on the SNES Classic’? While it might be easy to assume most people reading this would say The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is their pick among all the classics, I realized that there are probably some like, who despite loving Link’s SNES adventure, will always think of Super Metroid as the king (queen?) of the SNES.
