Daily Debate: If Zelda Characters Crossed Over With Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Which “Stands” Would They Have?
Posted on August 04 2020 by John Piland
Being the nerd that I am, I often like to imagine the many franchises that I’m a fan of crossing over. Recently, I’ve been catching up on the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime and manga, and began thinking what the series’ main power system, “Stands“, would be like in the world of Zelda. Hence is the question of this Daily Debate: what kind of Stands would the characters of Zelda have?
Put simply, Stands are the manifestation of a person’s soul, reflecting that person’s inner character and desires. Each Stand possesses unique abilities based on said characteristics. For example, someone obsessed with power and control is likely to have a Stand enabling them to control others by a variety of means. Likewise, someone with an impeccable desire for human life may have a Stand with the ability to heal. Some Stands may even have multiple abilities that can be used jointly, such as Crazy Diamond’s ability to punch with significant force and speed, with the side effect of reconstructing someone or something if the user is enraged. Finally, Stands also come with their unique appearances and combat stats.
The goal of this Daily Debate is to take a character from the Zelda universe and give them a Stand, naming it, detailing its abilities, how it is used, and giving a brief description of its appearance. Stand stats are welcome if you feel up to it. Additionally, if you want to stick the “JoJo’s” in it, consider naming your Stand after popular pop culture icons, as series creator Hirohiko Araki has an affinity for doing.
So, what do you think? What kinds of Stands would characters like Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf have? Get as creative as you want, and let us know in the comments below!

John has been a Zelda fan for over 10 years now and is proud to say the series has had a major impact on his life (and wallet). After years of going to Zelda Dungeon for guides or the latest news on the series, John achieved their dream when they joined the writing team in 2019; John can hardly believe how long it’s been. A librarian, he loves meticulously arranging his library of Zelda games and collectibles. After what felt like an eternity of waiting for Tears of the Kingdom, John looks forward to the future of the Zelda franchise with enthusiasm, whether that’s the upcoming movie, a new spin-off/remake, or the next big game.
