Daily Debate: If You Could Throw a Holiday Party for the Zelda Characters, Who Would You Invite?

It’s that time of year again, for family, friends, celebration, and really questionable choices of sweaters. The lights are hung, the candles are lit, the end of the year is upon us, and no matter which holiday you celebrate or why, this is a season for cheer and good times. You have decided to host a party for all your favorite characters in The Legend of Zelda. So, who all do you invite?
Let’s face it, each of the characters would bring their own different personalities into your home, and each version of a character might differ, depending on the game. So, take the time to consider what you want out of the experience. Link, for sure, would be on the guest list, but for me, I could use a hand in the kitchen, so I’d invite Breath of the Wild‘s iteration, because you know that feast is going to be fabulous. But I’d also love to see a good party trick, so Link from A Link Between Worlds, with his ability to turn into a painting, would be on the guest list. I’d also have to bring Midna and Ruto, for the banter and wit, Marin from Link’s Awakening, to serenade the party with music, Malon, because she’d be the one lending a hand with decorating, and Phantom Zelda of Spirit Tracks, because I think she’d just be the social butterfly and life of the party.
And the Champions!
And probably Ganondorf from Ocarina of Time. Just to add a little tension over turkey — and I am a bit afraid he’d crash the party and take over anyway.
Here’s to hoping my house is still standing after this shindig.
So, what about you? If you could throw a holiday party for the characters of the Zelda series, who would be on your guest list? Let us know in the comments below!
