Daily Debate: If You Could Choose Any Zelda Character To Be Your Companion, Who Would It Be?

Throughout The Legend of Zelda series, Link has often had a partner to accompany him on his adventures throughout Hyrule and beyond. These companions usually do their best to help Link to progress in his quest and can even have their own personality to help spice things up! Some great examples of noteworthy companions would be Tatl from Majora’s Mask and Midna from Twilight Princess. Even Princess Zelda from Spirit Tracks had the role of Link’s companion, and the player could actually control her movements.

Companions have already made such a difference in the game-play and story line for Zelda titles, but what if you could choose your own partner to journey throughout the land with? Nintendo have created so many diverse and interesting characters in the Zelda franchise that there would be no shortage in choice!

I would love to have Hylia as a companion in a Zelda game. I’m thinking of a game set before Skyward Sword with Hylia as a playable companion when the need arises. It would be great to use her divine powers to move forward in the quest!
