Daily Debate: How Did You First Get Into Zelda?

The Zelda games have been one of the most far-reaching series in recent history. Ask almost any video game player if they’ve heard of the Legend of Zelda in some form or another and the answer will most likely be a resounding, “YES!” But all involvement must begin somewhere.

I was lucky enough to be introduced to it very early on in my life through my babysitter and brother when I was around four years old via Legend of Zelda, Adventure of Link, and Link’s Awakening. Of course, true appreciation and love for the games didn’t come until a little later when A Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time came out, but nonetheless I was shepherded into the series by family. Adventuring through Hyrule, saving the land and seeking that ever elusive Triforce, I found myself never lapsing in my amazement at what I had been introduced to.
