When Breath of the Wild released in back in 2017 it was not long before DLC was announced. Breath of the Wild’s DLC came in two different waves and featured Master Mode, Trial of the Sword, Champion’s Ballad and a few other unlockables . Tears of the Kingdom will be here before we know, and today’s question asks: Do you want DLC for Tears of the Kingdom?

The short answer is: YES! I do have some concerns though. Breath of the Wild’s Hyrule boasted so much potential for exploration and things to do and the DLC that was originally released help fill some of that expanse for me. It also built upon the story. Buying Breath of the Wild’s DLC was not a question for me because the DLC offered something desirable that the base game did not have. That being said, I do hope that potential DLC for Tears of the Kingdom is not the same as Breath of the Wild. I would like to see Master Mode not stuck behind a paywall, and something like Trial of the Sword be something that can happen in-game after certain conditions are met. I am okay with more story like Champion’s Ballad being something that I would buy an expansion pass for though.

I also don’t mind DLC coming out in separate waves. Breath of the Wild’s DLC did not seem gimmicky and the DLC contained something that was a desirable to Zelda fans and that only added to the game. I know that we’re likely a long way off from hearing about any potential Tears of the Kingdom DLC, but I do hope that something extra is available that extends the playability of the game.

What do you think? Do you hope for DLC for Tears of the Kingdom? Why or why not? Let us know in the comments below!
