The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is nearly a month away and the “do you think” and “what if” questions are still flying! It’s going to be a few more weeks before we have all of our burning questions answered, but the one that I’m anxious to find out about is if Tears of the Kingdom will have a more challenging final boss.

One of the largest disappointments to me in Breath of the Wild was its final boss.  Calamity Ganon and Dark Beast Ganon were very cool to fight, but they were a cake walk in comparison to previous Zelda final bosses. In standard mode and Master Mode I was able to conquer the final boss with little challenge (except Master Mode where I lost my horse to Dark Beast Ganon in the first 5 seconds of the fight. Then it was a little more challenging.) I don’t remember feeling that way with any other Zelda boss. I remember struggling to beat Ganon in A Link to the Past and it took me 5 tries to beat Demise in Skyward Sword. I remember being so frustrated and my heart racing with excitement, and feeling that challenge to win!

I want to feel that again. After waiting for Tears of the Kingdom this long I hope that developers have made a truly terrifying final boss that will make my heart race in excitement. I really do hate to lose, but there’s something about failing a boss in a game where you come back and you just now that you’re going to do better next time! I don’t like when things are too easy. As far as Breath of the Wild is concerned I struggled more beating Thunderblight Ganon the first time than I did Calamity Ganon or Dark Beast Ganon.

Maybe I’m wrong though, do you think that Breath of the Wild had a challenging final boss? Or are you like me and hope for more of a challenge in Tears of the Kingdom? Share you thoughts in the comments below.
