Daily Debate: Do You Expect a Zelda-Themed Nintendo Direct This Month?

Everything seems to be quite quiet on the Tears of the Kingdom news pipeline, but not for long I hope. Over the last few years Nintendo has hosted a Nintendo Direct in the month of February, and fans have come to anticipate and expect it. Now that some of Nintendo’s more recent launches have had their time to shine all eyes are on Tears of the Kingdom. So, with the hope of a Nintendo Direct in our future do you expect the Direct to be Zelda themed?

I don’t personally expect it, but I do think that it would be nice to see a Direct that solely focused on Tears of the Kingdom. The marketing for the highly anticipated sequel to Breath of the Wild has been slow, and a little lack-luster if I can go that far. I have always been of the opinion that Nintendo will begin a heavy marketing plan for the game after the start of the year, and after the first Direct of the year. I would be insanely disappointed if we get through a February Direct with next-to-no Zelda content. So I don’t expect a Zelda Direct this month, but I sure would love one.

As far as Nintendo Directs go I could see us getting a nice long segment teasing more or the game or even another trailer. I could also foresee a Direct coming closer to the game’s release, but things have been so quiet, one can only wonder if Nintendo will let the game continue it’s own hype train without the help of additional trailers or a large high light on a Nintendo Direct.
