Daily Debate: Are You Attending a Launch Event for Tears of the Kingdom?

Tonight is the night. After what feels like the world’s longest wait we have finally made it to the release of Tears of the Kingdom. We’ve all been together amid the hype, the waiting, avoiding spoilers and leaks, and I feel like as a community that this has just been an awesome time to be a Zelda fan. So, as we get ready to adventure into Hyrule once again, will you be attending a launch event for the release of Tears of the Kingdom?

As of writing I will likely be attending my local GameStop’s launch event at 11PM. My husband and I have gotten to know our community store and I’m really excited that they are opening late to launch the game! Should my plans change I will likely be buying digitally. In the past I’ve been able to access digital titles a few hours before the calendar reads the launch date. So if getting the game in person fails I know that I’ll be able to access things digitally. I would like to be there in person though. There is just something special about staying up late to go get a game that makes you feel like a young kid again. I’ve been a Zelda fan for a very, very long time, but this is the first time since release of the Wii and Twilight Princess that I have been able to get a Zelda game on launch night. Tonight will be a special one for sure, and I know the memories of getting such a big game will burn bright for so many people.
