Hey there guys, I’m here with your mailbag at its new/old scheduled time! This week we’re talking a lot about Breath of the Wild and future open-world Zelda games like it as well as Hyrule Warriors, since after all there’s been a new version announced! Some other topics came up, though, including two interesting questions about Ocarina of Time! I finally posted an explanation for my disappearance here if you’re curious. Anyways, enjoy the mailbag!
Questions and timestamps:
(01:14) – Do you know what happens to Jabu-Jabu after Link goes forward in time in Ocarina of Time? How could he even get out of that small pond?
(01:52) – Do you think the sages in Ocarina of Time die? It seems like every sage you meet disappears inside the temple. Darunia is last seen going into the boss room, but when you get there, he’s gone. Heck, you even see Nabooru basically being killed by Kotake and Koume right in front of you.
(03:37) – Did you like the ability to dye your armor in Breath of the Wild? If so, would you like it to return with more options?
(04:27) – How could more story elements be implemented in a future open world Zelda game?
(07:23) – Would you like to see Cia return in a Zelda game? What do you think of Hyrule Warriors in general?
(08:20) – What do you think of the Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition announcement?
(08:54) – Do you think Hyrule Warriors should be canon, and if it were where do you think it would fit on the timeline?
(09:43) – Would you like a return to 2D Zelda?
(10:29) – Do you think there should be hand to hand combat in future Zelda games?
(11:40) – What do you think of Tingle Tights in Breath of the Wild?
Be sure to submit your name/username and questions to the mailbag email at email@example.com for next week’s mailbag! You can also message me on my Twitter or Facebook, or use the Mailbag Thread on the forums!
Can you guess the quote on the paper, the sound at the beginning, or any of the music? Include them all with your question and you might guarantee it gets answered! How about your thoughts about the questions? What do you think of the idea of the sages dying in Ocarina of Time? How about dying your clothes, or ways to tell stories in future open-world Zelda games? And what are your thoughts on Hyrule Warriors & its Definitive Edition? Tell me your thoughts on these and any other questions you want in the comments!
