After hours of fierce competition, Zelda speedrunner Cosmo Wright took second place in the 2015 Nintendo World Championships. After his win, he and the new Nintendo World Champion, John Numbers, each received a New 3DS XL, signed by Shigeru Miyamoto.

Cosmo Wright is well known for his excellent speedrunning record, which is dominated by runs of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, on iQue Player and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker on GameCube. He held records for Any% runs of both for a while, and he helped discover some of the glitches used in current Ocarina of Time runs. His current time for The Wind Waker is 4:27:53, about 25 minutes over the record, and his Ocarina of Time time is 18:10, just 23 seconds slower than the record. He streams on twitch.tv and often uploads especially good runs, as well as other tips or highlights, to his YouTube channel.

He helped create SpeedRunsLive, a community where speedrunners can stream runs and practices 24/7 in 2009, and is a frequent participant of AGDQ (Awesome Games Done Quick), which raises money for a range of charities.

Congratulations to all of the Nintendo World Championship contestants. It was a close fight.
