hyrule_warriors_logoWith so many new Hyrule Warriors screenshots, it is about time that we look back at the first look that we got at the game. A user over at NeoGAF named Wishmaster92 has put together some comparisons of recent pictures to the visuals of the reveal trailer back in December last year, and the differences are quite apparent.

The obvious difference is the changes in lighting. The Wii U’s graphics really shine here. We can now see many more details of Link’s character model, and it certainly gets me excited to see the details of other characters, old and new.

Here, we can, again, see the effect of better shaders on Link’s clothes, but also on both the chest and the back walls. The subtle designs in the background give us an idea of the effort that the developers are going to to make even the most insignificant of textures look that much better.

Hyrule Warriors is certainly going to look fantastic, and with comparisons like this, it is clear that it will push the Wii U to its limits. Like Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros., Hyrule Warriors seems like one of these recent games that are proving what the console is capable of, and their visuals can only get us more hyped for the real Zelda Wii U.

What do you guys think? Do Hyrule Warriors‘ visuals truly stand up to the Wii U’s graphical abilities? Leave a comment!
