Come Speculate on the Power of the Ancient Arrows with this Theory Video

The Ancient Arrows are some of the most powerful weapons in Breath of the Wild, especially when dealing with the Guardians. However, the game doesn’t do a good job of explaining exactly what powers these arrows. Dr.Wily over on YouTube has released a video attempting to explain just how these arrows work, though. He posits that the enemies that are slain by the Ancient Arrows are transported to an alternate dimension or plane of existence, such as the Dark World or the Twilight Realm. He equates such realms to a kind of hell or purgatory, since the enemies often completely disappear.

I think this theory doesn’t hold water. The blue energy reminds me of plasma or light energy. The powerful blue explosions that result on impact from both the Guardian lasers and the Ancient Arrows look extremely hot. Blue fire generally burns hotter than red fire, and since the beams are blue, I assume it was very focused light.
