Come Sift Through Link’s Toolbox in this Examination of the Top 5 Zelda Items

Link has many tools to help him through his myriad quests, and between the games, the same few items reappear. They might have variations to separate one another, but they generally function the same way. To that end, Zeltik over on YouTube has compiled a list of his Top 5 Zelda Items. Zeltik mentions several recurring items and explains why he likes them, as well as their functions in Link’s adventures through Hyrule. It is worth noting, however, that he also mentions specific versions of them, and even variations of the same item as a sort of subcategory.

I think it’s great to see a video like this. I’ve long loved the Hookshot but my recent favorite is the Stasis Rune. Being able to freeze an object, or later an enemy, and then have free reign to manipulate it through building kinetic energy is possibly one of the greatest ideas in gaming history. I can’t imagine the programming it would take to ensure this item works the way it does, but it’s a technical feat.
