Warning: This post contains spoilers for Tri Force Heroes
The story of Tri Force Heroes has been a hot topic for fans since the game’s announcement, as we wondered how the outrageous events of the game would unfold. Screenshots and trailers have given us better idea of the game’s plot, but many have still wondered how it would be ultimately presented to us. Excitingly, Tri Force Heroes‘ opening cinematic was recently uploaded to Youtube, giving us a better look at the game’s goofy, yet charming premise.
The silly, storybook premise of Tri Force Heroes places us in a Kingdom devoted to fashion, led by the stylish Princess Styla. Misfortune befalls Styla when an evil witch from Drabland sends her a cursed outfit. Styla, unable to remove this ugly, black outfit, locks herself away in shame, so her father, the King, sends forth a call for heroes to save his daughter and his kingdom. Our adventure begins when a young hero decides to answer this call.
These details have been circulating since Tri Force Heroes‘ announcement earlier this year, but it’s definitely interesting to see them unfold in the game itself. The cinematic is as goofy as I had expected it to be, but I must admit I find the characters and setting more endearing after watching it. Something about the unapologetic humor and charming, storybook art-style leaves me wanting to see more.
What are your thoughts on the game’s opening cinematic? Are you more excited to see the game? Let us know in the comments!
