Check Out This Wild Saxophone Cover of Water Blight Ganon’s Theme from Breath of the Wild

The saxophone is one of the most versatile instruments in the world, but the instrument is not often highlighted in music of The Legend of Zelda series. This incredible arrangement by Sab Irene put the saxophone front and center in Water Blight Ganon’s Battle Theme. Sab Irene uses several different saxophones throughout the video to highlight the instrument family’s full range. Each type of saxophone can be seen in the video.
This arrangement uses saxophones to great effect and supports the instrument by adding accompanying vocal and piano backing tracks. The fusion of saxophones, piano, and vocals creates an unusual but exciting sound. I also enjoy the bridge/ interludes that Sab Irene includes in this arrangement of Water Blight Ganon’s theme. These quieter interludes change the tempo of the song and help integrate the Breath of the Wild theme into the arrangement.
