Check Out this Swanky Jazz Arrangement of Breath of the Wild’s Rito Village Theme
Posted on January 19 2018 by Rod Lloyd
When I first learned that the Rito would be returning in Breath of the Wild, I wasn’t completely sure that we’d hear The Wind Waker‘s Dragon Roost Island theme again as well. But boy, oh boy, was I pleasantly surprised when the beautiful orchestral version of the classic tune played as I first approached Rito Village. This new rendition gave the theme a fresh identity, and I was excited to hear what else could be done to the composition by Zelda‘s talented fanbase.
Musician Carlos Eiene, also known as insaneintherainmusic on YouTube, recently broadened the horizons of Breath of the Wild‘s Rito Village theme even more with an amazing jazz arrangement. Led by Eiene on saxophone and guest Alex Heflin on mandolin, this arrangement adds an element of class to the original track’s whimsy. The song could almost serve as a theme to a once active nightlife in Rito Village, or maybe a late night talk show starring Kass.
You can listen to this arrangement and many more at insaneintherainmusic’s YouTube channel.
