Check Out This “Song of Storms”, “Ballad of The Goddess” Medley

The Legend of Zelda has some of the best soundtracks in video game history. However, this doesn’t mean that certain games don’t get overshadowed by their peers. Skyward Sword is one of those unfortunate games. Despite a wonderful and diverse soundtrack, the game’s music doesn’t quite get the attention it deserves; chalk that up to constantly competing against all time great soundtracks of its predecessors.
This Overclocked ReMix by MrHassanSan combines the “Song of Storms” from Ocarina of Time with Skyward Sword‘s signature song: “The Ballad of the Goddess”. This rendition is played with a 5/4 time signature, which is quite unusual. It’s a treat to hear these two songs re-imagined and combined in such a refreshing way, especially in how the implementation of a distinct time signature affects both songs. Overall, the fast tempo and the instrumentation makes the song feel like a march: fast paced, exciting, and triumphant.
