It’s no surprise that Ocarina of Time is the go-to game for fans to pay tribute to in their various types of creations. Most fans herald it as their first or their favorite, and a lot say that it’s both. The game not only introduced the franchise to a three-dimensional environment, but it also proved to be a paragon of storytelling, visuals, and gameplay. Thus, Ocarina of Time truly was timeless from the start.
Musical group GameGrooves pays tribute to the timeless classic in their recent album entitled Link-182. The album consists of various remixes of Zelda tunes, in the style and genre inspired by such musical groups as Blink-182, Sum-41, and Green Day. The Ocarina of Time tunes that have been masterfully remixed include such favorites as “Kokiri Forest” and “Song of Storms,” as well as eight other well-known songs from the game.
The album is available for listening and purchase on BandCamp, Apple Music, iTunes, Youtube Music, and Deezer. Be sure to keep up with GameGrooves by following their Twitter!
