I think it’s fair to say that we’re all a bit excited for the sequel to Breath of the Wild to come out. With that said, there’s so little we know about this future game that everything we think we know is simply speculation. However, there is plenty that we can all share our anticipation for.

In a short video over on YouTube, animator Charles C. Berndardo offered something that I found totally fitting, and a small dose of what I hope comes to the next Zelda installment. The video begins by showing Teba and his wife watching over their sick son before cutting away to Link and Zelda. Our heroes are traveling through Tabantha in the driving snow while carrying medicine. As they’re traveling, a horde of Bokoblins ambush them and steal their horse and belongings. Zelda sets out to retrieve their steed while Link infiltrates the Boko camp. As the video goes on, we see Link and Zelda work together to reclaim their lost items and finally reach Rito Village.

What I really liked about this video, besides its nice, clean look, was that it played on a lot of traits I am hoping to see come out of Breath of the Wild’s sequel. Link and Zelda working together, the new Champions having some role to play, and a sense that what we’re doing matters. Link and Zelda delivering medicine to Teba’s sick son is just pure heart-warming goodness. It’s an errand that could absolutely fit in the world created after Calamity Ganon’s demise. The sense of humor in the video really made me smile too. Link wearing his Bokoblin disguise was brilliant!

What did you think about the video? Be sure to let us know in the comments below or chat about it over in our Discord!
