Even though it is technically a side quest, obtaining Epona is one of my favorite parts of Ocarina of Time. Having Epona allows the player to visit Gerudo Fortress early (otherwise you need to get the Longshot), and jumping the broken bridge in Gerudo Valley always feels spectacular. To this day, horseback riding is still one of my favorite parts of the Zelda series. While Breath of the Wild allowed the player to tame a number of horses, Epona will never be replaced as Link’s true steed. Appearing in Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, and Twilight Princess, the reddish brown steed has stolen the hearts of many animal lovers and Zelda fans. The iconic horse also has an extremely memorable musical theme that is constantly covered by musicians.

This wonderful flamenco guitar arrangement of “Epona’s Song” and “Lon Lon Ranch” will give you a burst of positive energy when you listen to it. If you did not know, there are differences between a classical guitar and flamenco guitar that distinguish each subclass of guitar. These differences can include the type of wood used to make the guitars, the weight of the guitars (flamenco guitars tend to be lighter than classical guitars), and the styles of music that the guitars are used for. The lively nature of “Epona’s Song” and “Lon Lon Ranch” lend themselves well to flamenco arrangements, and it is easy to imagine people dancing and singing as this cover plays. Even though it is over five minutes long, the arrangement has a number of tempo changes that make it very dynamic, and it maintain the listener’s interest throughout the full length of the song.

If you enjoyed this arrangement by LucasGitanoFamily, they also have some other Zelda covers to enjoy including versions of “Lost Woods,”  “Dragon Roost Island,” “Gerudo Valley,” and “Gerudo Valley (Night).”
