In the two decades following the original release of Majora’s Mask, Stone Tower Temple has earned a repuation as one of the most exciting parts of the game. The dungeon, which is located deep in Ikana, forces the player to use all of the items and different forms of Link that were used in the previous three dungeons. Stone Tower Temple is also famous for its flip mechanic, which essentially doubles the length of the dungeon. The dungeon is by far the best dungeon in Majora’s Mask, and one of the best dungeons in the entire series.
In addition to Stone Tower Temple’s brilliant design and layout, the music used for the dungeon is also very memorable. The ritualistic chanting and steady percussion help to create an ominous atmosphere that perfectly fits the haunted kingdom of Ikana. This metal cover of “Stone Tower Temple” by ToxicxEternity is an exciting reimagining of the classic Zelda tune. This song uses electric guitar, base guitar, and pounding percussion to give the song a wild energy that is not present in the original song. Even though there is a change in instrumentation, the core melody and rhythm of the original song are still very recognizable in this new arrangement.
If you enjoyed this cover of Stone Tower Temple, ToxicxEternity has a plethora of Zelda covers on their YouTube channel. The songs that ToxicxEternity covers are taken from a diverse sampling of Zelda games, and there are a mix of acoustic and metal covers for listeners to enjoy. Some of the videos focus on a single song, while other videos are medleys dedicated to specific games.
