Despite being released nearly 20 years ago, Ocarina of Time is one of the most beloved games in the Legend of Zelda series. The game’s soundtrack, created the by peerless Koji Kondo, remains a favorite for many Zelda fans.  The soundtrack introduced fans to incredible songs like “Gerudo Valley,” “Song of Storms,” and the Ocarina of Time title theme. The game’s title theme is particularly notable in Kondo’s iconic soundtrack because it creates a peaceful and calming atmosphere that rivals the Fairy Fountain theme and other soothing songs in the Zelda series.

This gorgeous acoustic guitar cover of the title theme by Mario Freiria, posted on the YouTube channel TCDG Guitar Lessons, perfectly captures the calming and peaceful atmosphere that the original song is known for. It is a very straightforward and faithful cover, with a single acoustic guitar used to recreate the iconic song. With the melodious acoustic guitar and a calming tempo, the song is perfect for relaxing and taking a break from a busy day. When I listen to this version of the title theme, I can picture Link and Epona riding across a quiet Hyrule Field.
