Check Out These Silly Tears of the Kingdom Fan Animations

We are now less than two work weeks away from Tears of the Kingdom‘s release! The hype surrounding this new adventure has inspired countless creatives in the Zelda community over the past few months, from traditional artists, to musicians, to animators. The number of creative and silly Tears of the Kingdom fan animations to release recently is staggering, honestly. It’s amazing that animators are able to draw so much inspiration from a game that we’re only now starting to see more from.
Fan animators have been particularly interested in Link’s new Fuse ability, first introduced in Eiji Aonuma’s gameplay demonstration a few months back. YouTube’s AlamanderArts, for example, recently released an animated short (featured above) showing a potentially overpowered Fuse application. Reminiscent of other pieces of Fuse-related fan art, AlamanderArts’ short “Link VS Construct” imagines how the fearsome power of Cuccos can be harnessed with Link’s new ability.
Animator CircleToonsHD meanwhile took Eiji Aonuma’s idea of a Fused rock & stick to the next level with their short “Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom in a Nutshell”. Honestly, if we can’t use Ultrahand to build a giant mecha like the one seen in this short, I’m going to be disappointed.
One of the items introduced in Tears of the Kingdom‘s third trailer was a rocket that Link can use to reach new heights. Animator Takatakato took that rocket to the moon with their new short “Legend of Zelda : Tears of the Kingdom Rocket RUN??”. I wonder if this trick would work on the Blood Moon.
Lastly, animator Matthew McCleskey considers the possibility of using Fuse on baddies with his short “Tears of the Kingdom Speedruns (probably)”. The rotoscope animation style and naturalistic voice acting of this short definitely gave me a big laugh. It’s amazing just how much absurdity is packed into a single minute.
What did you think of these silly Tears of the Kingdom fan animations? Which one was your favorite? Let us know in the comments below!
