It is no question that the Zelda series is filled to the brim with music meant to either grip our fear, pull our heartstrings, or evoke our inner courage. There is a great potential power in music and Zelda composers like Koji Kondo have mastered it wonderfully for decades. Thus, already great music is only heightened in the hands of passionate fans.

Symphonic Triforce, an emerging artist group on YouTube, released four re-orchestrations of memorable Zelda songs over this past summer. The collection features a gorgeous and idyllic rendition of “Grandma’s Theme” from The Wind Waker, which sneaks in motifs of “Outset Island” and “The Great Sea,” as well as an eerie and haunting version of “Lost Ancient Ruins” from A Link to the Past, with a small cameo of the “puzzle solved” sound effect. The four-song playlist also includes an accurately peppy and cheerful remix of “Kokiri Forest” from Ocarina of Time and a melodic and moving re-orchestration of “Saying Goodbye” from Spirit Tracks.

The Symphonic Triforce team is comprised of arranger and lyricist WindMageMaster, contributor, audio master, and vocalist Edu Cherrypatty, and contributor John Mackay. The playlist of their four songs in total can be found here.
