What’s most rewarding about the video games we love and play is that they bring us a rather unique form of comfort. They can help us out after a long and stressful day of work, and they can bring simple joy to those who need it the most. While I’m talking more about mental comfort, there are times when video games can be a unique form of physical comfort as well.
That’s what tavingtoncrafts on Etsy is aiming to accomplish with these Game Boy Color plushies. These plush throw-backs to a portable gaming golden age come in a variety of colors and feature a variety of game start screens. Available in seven different colors (including the Pokémon Edition GBC), the selection of games include Oracle of Seasons/Ages, Link’s Awakening DX, Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, and a whole litany of Pokémon games. You can even special request a specific game start screen if it isn’t available from what’s listed.
Most of tavingtoncrafts’ Game Boy Color Plushes cost $29.85 USD each, while the Pokémon Edition GBC plush costing $35.28 USD. According to some of the comments on the Etsy listing, tavingtoncrafts even adds a little bit extra flair to the package by wrapping up each item in Pokémon wrapping paper. As of this writing, quantity is extremely limited, so I would suggest getting your hands on it now before it’s too late.
