Cave of Trials: Week Five – Link vs The Hero’s Shade

Welcome to the Cave of Trials. The premise is simple: Every week, two characters from The Legend of Zelda series will duke it out for the Zelda Informer Championship. Whoever has more votes at the end of the week, wins. This is strictly a popularity contest, not who you think would win in a fight; so vote for who you like better! The winner will then go on next week to defend the title against a new challenger, as decided by you guys! That’s right, leave a name in the comments of who you want to see step up next and the character with the most votes will get their chance to dethrone the champion next week! Be warned though – a character only has one shot, so choose wisely. If a champion is successful in defending their title for six weeks in a row, that champion will be retired and the title declared vacant!
Link is one step closer to immortality as we step back into the Cave for Week 5.
Having easily dispatched all of his challengers so far, Link needs only two more victories to secure his legacy and retire as the first undefeated Zelda Informer Champion. But hold on. We still have a ways to go, and Link will face his toughest challenge yet this week – himself!
The Hero’s Shade from Twilight Princess is up this week to try and teach Link one final lesson… one that will see the student fall to the master and lose his Championship. With growing resentment building towards Link’s domination, it seems like the Hero’s Shade has the best chance of anyone at taking Link down. Of course, to be the man, you gotta beat the man, though, so let’s get to it!
Don’t forget to vote in the comments who you would like to see face the Champion next week. If Link is sucessful, this will be the last chance someone has to dethrone him, so unleash the big guns.
