Caption Contest 342: Gotta Go Fast

Greetings, Zelda fans! I will be heading off to the 2022 Zelda Dungeon Marathon very soon, but I just had to kick off another entry of the Caption Contest before I left. Now, amongst all the other exciting happenings at this year’s marathon, I — as well as some other familiar faces from ZD’s writing team — will be attempting to speedrun Ocarina of Time 3D on Saturday morning. I am by no means an expert speedrunner, but I must admit that I’ve felt a bit like a speed-demon learning to race through Ocarina of Time like I never have before. In fact, one could say that I’ve been feeling a lot more like a certain blue hedgehog than I have our green-clad hero.

Last Week’s Contest:

Link almost obtained the Triforce last week.

Here are our non-photo caption winners:

  • Great_Scott: “Every triangle is a love triangle when you love triangles”
  • IceRod: “I knew you were achievable! Otherwise why would the developers have put you in the submenu for the game???”
  • Tober: And I wish…”Navi to shut it for more then 10 minutes!”
  • Hero Of Time: It says ” If you’re reading this, you’re too close.”
  • Matt Pederberg: What advice did Raru give to Link when he asked how to finally get the golden triangles from the Sacred Realm?
    “If talking doesnt work, Triforce!

This Week’s Contest:

Don’t forget to tune in to my Ocarina of Time 3D race on Saturday morning! You can see the entire ZD Marathon schedule right here.

Here are the guidelines:

  • Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages. When in doubt, keep it Nintendo.
  • If you don’t have the ability to edit the image, just leave it as a comment. We make sure to have a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Photo editing and manipulation (i.e. Photoshop) is allowed, but these entries will be part of a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Dungeon. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another… and that’s OK.
  • Have fun and be creative!

Don’t forget to check back throughout the week and upvote your favorites, and, who knows?  Maybe you will be one of next week’s winners.
