Hey there, Zelda fans! The Zelda Dungeon Caption Contest is finally back for another round of side-splitting fun. I apologize for taking the past few weeks off; my schedule has been fairly hectic. But seeing as today is a holiday, I really had no excuse to get this new contest out. Anyway, many people are out there enjoying Memorial Day cookouts today, so it seemed appropriate to feature an image of Link doing a little cooking himself.

Our Last Contest:

Link and Epona made the jump in our last contest.

Here are our non-photo caption winners:

  • Porter Frost: “This isn’t flying, it’s falling with style”
  • Hero Of Time: “Knowing that him and Epona wouldn’t make the jump and die by either the spikes or the impact of the ground below, Link spends his last seconds thinking about how he never took Zelda out on a date.”
  • SkyloftianD6: “Yeah! Let’s go Epona! Let’s go beyond the impossible and kick reason to the curb!”
    *Splat*
  • Mask Of Truth: “born to be wild”
  • Kim: “I’m flying! I’m flying!…I’m falling!”

This Week’s Contest:

This screenshot is honestly making me hungry.

Here are the guidelines:

  • Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages. When in doubt, keep it Nintendo.
  • If you don’t have the ability to edit the image, just leave it as a comment. We make sure to have a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Photo editing and manipulation (i.e. Photoshop) is allowed, but these entries will be part of a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Dungeon. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another… and that’s OK.
  • Have fun and be creative!

Don’t forget to check back throughout the week and upvote your favorites, and, who knows?  Maybe you will be one of next week’s winners.
