Hey there, Zelda fans! Zelda Dungeon is back with another exciting edition of our weekly Caption Contest! This week’s contest image, in fact, is very exciting indeed. Two weeks ago, Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma announced that the sequel to Breath of the Wild has been delayed to Spring 2023. While this announcement was definitely a bummer, it was coupled with a few seconds of brand new footage from the game. This footage has invited many questions, so why not parse through our thoughts with this week’s contest?

Our Last Contest:

Our Tingle Day Caption Contest honored one of the Zelda series’ greatest characters.

Here are our non-photo caption winners:

  • IceRod: “Ugh, so heavy. Oh well, this statue was still cheaper than that last Triforce piece map.”
  • HylianHero33: Link: “sigh…Welcome to Tingle Island, home of the wonderful Mr. Tingle. Please have your wallets ready and maps open…”
Tingle: “The dance! You simply must do the fairy dance!”
Link: “Oh for Hylia’s sake, I’ll find the Triforce myself.”
  • Revali_is_best: “Lay off the calories, will ya??”
  • Hero Of Time: Link: I guess I am now part of a new Tingle Totem Pole.
  • Spaghetti: “ALL HAIL OUR LORD AND SAVIOR”

This Week’s Contest:

The Master Sword ain’t looking too good these days.

Here are the guidelines:

  • Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages. When in doubt, keep it Nintendo.
  • If you don’t have the ability to edit the image, just leave it as a comment. We make sure to have a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Photo editing and manipulation (i.e. Photoshop) is allowed, but these entries will be part of a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Dungeon. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another… and that’s OK.
  • Have fun and be creative!

Don’t forget to check back throughout the week and upvote your favorites, and, who knows?  Maybe you will be one of next week’s winners.
