Caption Contest 333: Happy Tingle Day!

A hearty hello to all you fairies out there! Today, this first of April, is Tingle Day here at Zelda Dungeon! In honor of one of the most beloved Zelda characters of all time — as well as one of the most handsome — our jolly team of writers has embraced the glory and majesty of the one and only Tingle. We want to look like him, we want to think like him, and, frankly, we want to be him. So, let us begin the merriments with a Tingle-filled Caption Contest! Kooloo-Limpah!

 

Last Week’s Contest:

The Old Man was upset last week because Link did not show proper respect to Tingle.

  • Stormslaye: Link: “Hey, Old Man, can you get your Sheikah Slate out of the pedestal, mine needs recharging.”
    Old Man: “Tough luck Link, but mine’s only at 30%, go find another one.”
    Link: “BUT THE NEAREST ONE IS AT DUELING PEAKS! I DON’T WANT TO GO ALL THE WAY TO NECLUDA!
    Old Man: “Ride a horse!”
    Link: “I don’t have any horses yet!”
    Old Man: “Then use the Master Cycle Zero!”
    Link: “I need the Sheikah Slate to use that, and it’s out of battery!”
    Old Man: “…”
    Link: “Well?”
    Old Man: “… Stasis launch yourself.”
    Link: “I also can’t do that. Sheikah Slate and all.”
    The Old Man removes his Sheikah Slate from the pedestal.
    Old Man: “Then let me do it for you.”
    The Old Man then proceeds to Stasis launch Link.
  • Hero Of Time: Old Man: Is it done downloading yet?
    Link: It’s on 99%
    Old Man: You said that 15 minutes ago!!
  • Wild Tray: There are two sheikah slates.
    Old man disapproves of clones.
  • IceRod: “Yes, yes, take all the time in the world playing with your doodads and gadgets. It’s not like I have some important lessons to impart to you or anything.”
  • Murph: “That moment when a punk teen who woke up late steels your paraglider.”

 

This Week’s Contest:

Not even a four-foot golden statue can begin to capture the sheer brilliance of Tingle.

Here are the guidelines:

  • Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages. When in doubt, keep it Nintendo.
  • If you don’t have the ability to edit the image, just leave it as a comment. We make sure to have a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Photo editing and manipulation (i.e. Photoshop) is allowed, but these entries will be part of a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Dungeon. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another… and that’s OK.
  • Have fun and be creative!
