Happy Monday, everyone! After a crazy week of Zelda and Nintendo news, the Zelda Dungeon Caption Contest is back again to spread the joy! There were a lot of special moments from last week’s Nintendo Direct, not the least of which being our first real taste of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity‘s upcoming DLC. On top of new maps and new story content, the next wave of DLC will introduce Purah & Robbie to the game’s playable roster. And to say we’re excited about hitting the battlefield with this quirky duo would be an understatement.

Our Last Contest:

The headline of our last contest was actually a reference to the late-great Norm McDonald. It was quite a blow to hear that he had passed away the day after the contest went live.

Here are our photoshop caption winners:

Here are our non-photo caption winners:

  • Fidon: “So, you’re telling me everything I’ve been told my whole life was a lie and tiny birds aren’t only in my dreams?”
  • Rito merchant: “wow…. you’re kind of imploding my mind right now…”
  • JDAT: “Do mini people ride the mini birds?”
  • SkyloftianD6: “Yeah, we wouldn’t want a bird to hear us chatting up there and turn us in.”
“Hey, we’re in enemy territory. Those are enemy birds.”
  • not you: “You tell me **now** of all times that I can only save at bird statues?!?”

This Week’s Contest:

This is just the first of many new Age of Calamity images coming to the Caption Contest over the next several weeks.

Here are the guidelines:

  • Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages. When in doubt, keep it Nintendo.
  • If you don’t have the ability to edit the image, just leave it as a comment. We make sure to have a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Photo editing and manipulation (i.e. Photoshop) is allowed, but these entries will be part of a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Dungeon. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another… and that’s OK.
  • Have fun and be creative!

Don’t forget to check back throughout the week and upvote your favorites, and, who knows?  Maybe you will be one of next week’s winners.
