Caption Contest 267: A Royal Meeting
Posted on September 07 2020 by Rod Lloyd
What’s this? The Zelda Dungeon Caption Contest is back again with another silly screenshot! My gaming habits have been a little weird lately. In addition to slowly working through my backlog, I’ve been replaying a lot of Nintendo 64 games from my youth. Just this morning, I finished Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, a game I hadn’t picked up in nearly 20 years. So, in honor of my strange N64 excursion, here’s an image of Kirby’s favorite frenemy, King Dedede.
Last Week’s Contest:
I considered the possibility of reading a bit more last week, but I decided to just post this Breath of the Wild screenshot instead.

- HersheyKisses101: “He-he’s gonna EAT ME?!”
- Dylan: “Cory the Cucco: A Book about Matt Mercer the hero of hyrule? I though that was Sam Regal!”
This Week’s Contest:
Does anyone miss pre-Ultimate Princess Zelda in Smash Bros.?
Here are the guidelines:
- Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages. When in doubt, keep it Nintendo.
- If you don’t have the ability to edit the image, just leave it as a comment. We make sure to have a separate list of winners for this category.
- Photo editing and manipulation (i.e. Photoshop) is allowed, but these entries will be part of a separate list of winners for this category.
- Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Dungeon. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another… and that’s OK.
- Have fun and be creative!
Don’t forget to check back throughout the week and upvote your favorites, and, who knows? Maybe you will be one of next week’s winners.
