What’s up, Zelda fam?! Are you ready to partake in yet another Zelda Dungeon Caption Contest this fine Monday? With all of 2019’s big Zelda releases in the rearview mirror, I’ve had the chance to burn through some of the screenshots I’ve been saving in my contest folder. For example, last week we focused on an evergreen image from Callego’s epic Zelda animation “Racing for Rupees”. This week, I have decided to present you all with a screenshot I’ve had saved since about 2016.

Last Week’s Contest:

Who wants to bet that Link spent all those rupees on a meaningless mini-game?

And here are our photoshop caption winners:

By: Multificionado

And here are our non-photo caption winners:

  • HylianHero33: “That feeling when you get your paycheck”
  • Dylan: “Taking a cue from scrooge McDuck, Link also built his own Swimming pool of rupee’s!!”
  • 10eleven: “Link’s greatest dreams of avarice finally sated, he never screamed when the sheer volume of crystal pressed the last breath from his chest.”
  • Cintratton: “4yo me when finding a 50 cents coin on the street”
  • Lifeoflink: “The magic armor will never let me down now!! Now where did I leave my extra-large Giant Wallet?”

This Week’s Contest:

As hinted at above, this screenshot comes from a Zelda-themed crossover from 2016’s Monster Hunter Stories.

Here are the guidelines:

  • Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages. When in doubt, keep it Nintendo.
  • If you don’t have the ability to edit the image, just leave it as a comment. We make sure to have a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Photo editing and manipulation (i.e. Photoshop) is allowed, but these entries will be part of a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Dungeon. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another… and that’s OK.
  • Have fun and be creative!

Don’t forget to check back throughout the week and upvote your favorites, and, who knows?  Maybe you will be one of next week’s winners!
