Caption Contest 231: Swimmin’ in Dough

Hey, everybody! Guess what time it is. That’s right, it’s time again for Zelda Dungeon’s weekly Caption Contest. With the holiday season swiftly approaching — there are Christmas decorations in my supermarket already! — I am much more conscious of my family’s funds than I normally am throughout the year. I’ve got to be saving for all those presents I need to buy! Why can’t I be more like Link, who always seems to have a full wallet of Rupees at the ready in case of any unexpected costs?

Last Week’s Contest:

Link pulled a Princess Jasmine and stole an apple last week.

By: LyrikalNotes

And here are our non-photo caption winners:

  • IceRod: “Just more proof that Link’s Awakening is a “core” Zelda title.”
  • Dylan: “this apple taste like a dream. is this what dreams taste like, apples?”
  • Undercover Gamer: “That face you make when Zelda gets kidnapped during your lunch break”
  • RedstoneA27: -LA Link: “I can eat apples the size of my head! What can you do?”
-BotW Link: “I can eat 100 normal apples in a minute!”
    -LA Link: (0_0)
  • SkyloftianD6: “Little did Link know, that was the second to last apple on the entire island. Even after finishing it, his hunger grew. Then, leaving the rest of the residents to only eat…whatever Koholint Islanders eat, he set his sights on the last apple…”

This Week’s Contest:

This screenshot comes to us from Callegos’ “Racing for Rupees” animation.

Here are the guidelines:

  • Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages. When in doubt, keep it Nintendo.
  • If you don’t have the ability to edit the image, just leave it as a comment. We make sure to have a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Photo editing and manipulation (i.e. Photoshop) is allowed, but these entries will be part of a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Dungeon. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another… and that’s OK.
  • Have fun and be creative!

Don’t forget to check back throughout the week and upvote your favorites, and, who knows?  Maybe you will be one of next week’s winners!
