It’s Halloween Week, everyone! That means that we’re finishing up our month of spooky images in the Zelda Dungeon Caption Contest. But we’ve, of course, still got one more terrifying screenshot to end October on the right note. I noticed last week that we’d been highlighting a lot of Ocarina of Time images lately — Rod is pretty biased, isn’t he? — so for this week’s contest, we’re back in the present with this creepy image from Breath of the Wild 2‘s debut trailer.

Last Week’s Contest:

We didn’t feel like tracking down all those Gold Skulltulas, so this poor fellow is stuck that way.

Here are our photoshop caption winners:

By: Linkario

And here are our non-photo caption winners:

  • IceRod: “Eat your heart out, Coraline. Nothing is scarier than a half man/half spider in N64-era graphics.”
  • Undercover Gamer: Spider:HELP US
Link:Nope, nope nopety nope nope nope (leaves)
    Spider:Crap, blew it again
  • KW: “Ed…ward…”
  • RedstoneA27: “Hiya! I’m a Pokémon… …No I’m not! Call me Bill! I’m a true-blue Pokémaniac! Hey! What’s with that skeptical look? I’m not joshing you, pal. I screwed up an experiment and got combined with a Pokémon! So, how about it? Help me out there!”
  • Frightzo_Dread: “Wanna buy some illegal memes?”

This Week’s Contest:

What could possibly be happening in this scene?

Here are the guidelines:

  • Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages. When in doubt, keep it Nintendo.
  • If you don’t have the ability to edit the image, just leave it as a comment. We make sure to have a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Photo editing and manipulation (i.e. Photoshop) is allowed, but these entries will be part of a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Dungeon. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another… and that’s OK.
  • Have fun and be creative!

Don’t forget to check back throughout the week and upvote your favorites, and, who knows?  Maybe you will be one of next week’s winners!
