The Zelda Dungeon Caption Contest is back, y’all! After skipping a week due to my trip to E3, I’ve returned with a doozy of a screenshot for you. Taken straight from the surprise announcement trailer for Breath of the Wild sequel, this image features the terrifying remains of some long-dead evil. Could this be the Dark King of Evil, Ganondorf? Probably. Why is he so cranky? We’ll just have to wait to find out. But in the meantime, let’s assign some words to this mummified miscreant.

Our Last Contest:

We couldn’t have predicted that a Breath of the Wild sequel would be announced during E3, but it is quite the coincidence that our last contest featured a Breath of the Wild screenshot.

Here’s our non-photo caption winners:

  • jester 12308: “Yup, that’s me, you’re probably wondering how i got here.”
  • ICE Cold GUTEorade: “Excuse me sir, do you have a moment to talk about our lord and savior, Calamity Ganon?”
  • Linklink: “This dubious food got me seein flying bokoblins!”
  • Imagination that: 🎼”I believe I can fly. I believe I can touch the sky.”
  • IceRod: “Cirque du so Link!”

This Week’s Contest:

This guy looks like he’s been waiting a millennium to say something. We leave it to you to decide what that something is.

Here are the guidelines:

  • Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages. When in doubt, keep it Nintendo.
  • If you don’t have the ability to edit the image, just leave it as a comment. We make sure to have a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Photo editing and manipulation (i.e. Photoshop) is allowed, but these entries will be part of a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Dungeon. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another…and that’s OK.
  • Have fun and be creative!

Don’t forget to check back throughout the week and upvote your favorites, and, who knows?  Maybe you will be one of next week’s winners!
