Hello and welcome to another exciting edition of Zelda Dungeon’s Caption Contest! We’re back from a week break, and we’re ready for you to share your wittiest comments, captions, and Photoshops with us right here.

Last week, we shared a recent episode of YouTube show Boundary Break, in which friend of the site Shesez looked beyond the camera in A Link Between Worlds to see the game from a whole new perspective. It turns out that Link’s character model and many other objects in the game were tilted in such a way as to replicate the top-down perspective of A Link to the Past, which looks just fine when the camera is pointed down, but looks hilariously goofy when these in-game objects are shown in profile. So, in honor of Shesez’ video, our contest this week features an image of ALBW‘s tilted world.

Before the break, we saw Princess Zelda slap hands with Rosalina.

And here’s our non-photo caption winners:

  • Art1st4786: “When your friend misinterprets your attempts of getting someone’s attention as asking for a high five.”
  • Dylan: Zelda & Roselia: “Girl Power!”
…and that high five created a blast so powerful they tear open a riff into the multiverse!!
  • Corey R: “When teacher asks a question you know the answer to but your snarky rival raised her hand at the same time”
  • IceRod: “High five? More like high sleeve!”
  • Bigby: “Pumpkin spice lattes!”

This Week’s Contest:

This image actually comes to us from a panel conducted in 2013, during which developers showed how A Link Between Worlds‘ top-down perspective really works.

Here are the guidelines:

  • Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages. When in doubt, keep it Nintendo.
  • If you don’t have the ability to edit the image, just leave it as a comment. We make sure to have a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Photo editing and manipulation (i.e. Photoshop) is allowed, but these entries will be part of a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Dungeon. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another…and that’s OK.
  • Have fun and be creative!

Don’t forget to check back throughout the week and upvote your favorites, and, who knows?  Maybe you will be one of next week’s winners!
