Greetings, all you Zelda fans out there. Are you ready for another Halloween-themed Caption Contest to get you in the holiday mood? A staple in Halloween entertainment is the zombie movie; from classics like Night of the Living Dead to the popularization of the genre in recent years, it seems like zombies will always have a home in popular culture. The Legend of Zelda may not have an exact analogue to the walking dead we’re all familiar with, but it does have a similar creature in the ReDead. These moaning, shambling monsters have always been some of the scariest the Zelda series has to offer, so let’s shine a spotlight on them in this week’s contest.

Last Week’s Contest:

The contest last week featured a guest appearance by Resident Evil‘s Leon S. Kennedy.

Here our non-photo caption winners:

  • Corey Richmond: “I TOLD YOU NOT TO STEAL MY MAGIC WORDS!!!!”
  • IceRod: “After fighting the monstrosity that is Tingle, undead zombies are old hat.”
  • Lifeoflink: “At last, Tingle has been recognized as the hazard he’s been to the video game world and has been dealt with.”
  • Ashley: “AAAAAHH! Get it off me!! GET IT OFF!!”
  • Matt Kitt: “Mr. Biohazard… I don’t feel so well…”

And here our photoshop caption winners:

This Week’s Contest:

I really must stress the “Keep It Nintendo” rule for this week’s contest. Please keep your entries appropriate for all ages.

Here are the guidelines:

  • Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages. When in doubt, keep it Nintendo.
  • If you don’t have the ability to edit the image, just leave it as a comment. We make sure to have a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Photo editing and manipulation (i.e. Photoshop) is allowed, but these entries will be part of a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Dungeon. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another…and that’s OK.
  • Have fun and be creative!

Don’t forget to check back throughout the week and upvote your favorites, and, who knows?  Maybe you will be one of next week’s winners!
