Happy Monday, everybody! Are you ready for yet another Zelda Dungeon Caption Contest? We’re diving back into my Super Smash Bros. Ultimate screenshot folder this week in anticipation of Nintendo’s upcoming fighting game. The magic of the Smash Bros. series is seeing two characters from completely different franchises confront each other in unexpected ways. And it begs the question: how well would these characters really do in a fight based on what we see in their respective games? Toon Link may have his own methods for dispatching baddies in Zelda games, but would those same methods work when fighting a boss from another series?

Last Week’s Contest:

I indulged in my recent transition to married life by featuring a real Zelda wedding in last week’s contest.

And here our non-photo caption winners:

  • Corey Richmond: “Meanwhile, at the wedding of Ringo Starr and Beyonce…”
  • Ashley: “What happens in Vegas….”
  • Matt Kitt: Mom: Soo, when are you gonna come back to Gerudo to visit me?
    Rhondson: …
  • Dylan: “Come on down to Terry Town for all your Marriage needs!! only $9.85!!! this sunday!!”
  • Chris Septicor: “Another success story from Hyrule’s most popular dating app, Tingle.”

This Week’s Contest:

Just go for the tail, Link!

Here are the guidelines:

  • Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages. When in doubt, keep it Nintendo.
  • If you don’t have the ability to edit the image, just leave it as a comment. We make sure to have a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Photo editing and manipulation (i.e. Photoshop) is allowed, but these entries will be part of a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Dungeon. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another…and that’s OK.
  • Have fun and be creative!

Don’t forget to check back throughout the week and upvote your favorites, and, who knows?  Maybe you will be one of next week’s winners!
